Who We Are
As Tourism Professionals we saw the need for excellence in the presentation of our city’s unique history, cultures, and attractions by certified local tour guides. We joined together in 1994 as the first association designed to meet that specific need.

Our Objectives

1. Enable our members to give our city’s visitors an educational and entertaining experience that embodies the Spirit of San Antonio.
2. Promote the highest degree of professionalism for tour guides through commitment to ethical standards, continuing education, and professional certification.
3. Address issues regarding the tourism industry with appropriate private, public, and governmental groups.
4. Raise public and private awareness of the vital roles played by professional tour guides.
